Better evidence.
Stronger communities.

Across the UK, community organisations are holding neighbourhoods together — often with limited funding, stretched teams, and growing need.

PatchWorks exists to help community organisations build the evidence they need to survive and thrive. When evidence is done well — with people, not to them — it
becomes a force for change: helping organisations be heard, be trusted, and build what their communities need next.

This belief sits at the heart of everything we do.

Our evidence standard

Not all evidence is equal.

PatchWorks uses a simple evidence scale to help organisations understand where their impact currently sits — and how working with us will strengthen it.

About the founder

Paddy Hanrahan

PatchWorks was founded by Paddy Hanrahan, following more than two decades working across consulting, NHS, and the charity sector.

After years supporting national programmes and large institutions, Paddy became increasingly convinced that the most important social impact happens locally — but is often the hardest to evidence and sustain.

PatchWorks brings together that experience with a clear motivation: to help community organisations build evidence that strengthens their voice, their funding, and their ability to serve their communities.
